We are always extremely grateful for any monetary donations we receive. Donations can be made by cash or cheque made payable to “Monifieth Befriending Scheme”.
Thank you.

Leaving a legacy
Leaving a legacy to Monifieth Befriending Scheme is one of the most wonderful gifts you could ever make. Any donation, no matter how small or how large, is important to us and will be wisely administered by our trustees. Your generosity could make a huge difference and even a little can mean a lot! We understand that family and friends come first but, once you have taken care of loved ones, please consider leaving a gift to Monifieth Befriending Scheme. Leaving a legacy simply involves adding a short paragraph (clause) to your will (including our name: Monifieth Befriending Scheme and registered charity number: SC030685). We would suggest that you use a qualified solicitor to assist you with this.

Quiz sheets are now on sale for £1. Please give us a call if you would like to buy one.

Monifieth Befriending Scheme was delighted to receive £2563 from the Co-op Local Community Fund in April and we will continue to benefit from this fund until October 2017. If you would like to help us raise as much money as possible for our scheme all you have to do is – every time you buy Co-op branded products, present your membership card at the time of payment and 1% of what you spend will be donated to our scheme. If you do not have a membership card and would like one, there are 3 ways to apply:

• go to the Co-op website www.coop.co.uk.
• telephone the Co-op Contact Centre on: 0800 023 4708
• or pop into one of the stores listed below and they will arrange a card for you.

Membership cards cost £1, to be paid by debit or credit card. When you apply for a card, or if you are already a member, it is important that you select Monifieth Befriending Scheme as the cause you would like to support as there are 2 other charities involved in the community fund as well.

The local Co-op food stores supporting our cause are: Monifieth, Panmurefield, Claypotts and Barnhill.

Thank you everyone who supported our coffee morning last year. We have another one planned for Saturday 2nd September at 10am in the Gerard Hall. Donations of bottles, bric-a-brac and nearer the time – home baking would be greatly appreciated.

Pauline and 4 of our Befrienders attended this awards evening in December. Over 200 people attended from voluntary organisations from all over Angus and every volunteer received a certificate and badge in recognition for their volunteering. Monifieth Befriending Scheme nominated Brenda Wilson (one of our befrienders and committee members) for the Health & Social Care Award for Outstanding Commitment and were delighted that she won the award! Congratulations and well done Brenda and thank you so much for all your hard work.
