About Us

We are governed by a Management Team of volunteers with extensive skills and experience. There are 2 main subgroups; funding, and social committees.

Our coordinators are responsible for the day to day running of Monifieth Befrienders and have undertaken relevant training to ensure they are fully equipped to carry out their roles.


Lindsey, our Project Coordinator,

Lindsey’s remit is to oversee the recruitment process for our adult befrienders, and to support them and their Friends in their befriending relationships. She is the first point of contact for referrals to our service.

    • Pauline primarily recruits, trains, matches and supports young befrienders from Monifieth High School. She also has responsibility for measuring the impact the service has on the community.

Gail, Outreach Coordinator

We don’t want our new referrals to be forgotten about while waiting for a suitable befriender. Gail, our Outreach Coordinator, regularly contacts new Friends and will encourage them to attend weekly groups and events. She is also responsible for updating the website, Facebook and Twitter.
