About Us

We are governed by a Management Team of volunteers. They have extensive skills, experience and backgrounds in Third Sector, healthcare, administration and local government. Posts held are Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and Fundraiser.

Lindsey-le-Grice

Lindsey, our Project Co-ordinator, is responsible for the day-to-day running of Monifieth Befriending Scheme, and has undertaken relevant training to ensure she is fully equipped to carry out her role.

  • She recruits, screens and trains our volunteers. She then matches them to suitable clients and supports them in their befriending relationships.
  • In the event of volunteer absence through sickness or holiday, she will provide this service, if requested by the client.

 

Pauline Cameron

Development Co-ordinator: Pauline Cameron

Pauline, our Development Co-ordinator, helps to promote Monfieth Befriending Scheme and raise our profile within the local community.

    • She is responsible for publicity
    • She is available to give talks about our service to local groups

Pauline also runs a monthly book group for our volunteers and weekly ‘Bodies Alive’ class for our clients, volunteers and older members of the local community. Bodies Alive is seated physical activity and exercises to improve your strength and balance. Please contact Pauline for more details.

 

Gail Hill

Admin / Support Assistant

Gail, our Admin/Support Assistant provides invaluable admin/support to both Lindsey and Pauline.
 
 
 
 
 
   
 
 
 
Both Lindsey and Pauline have responsibility for evaluating the success of our project, and investigating grant funding for our future sustainability.

Monthly team meetings are held, where the Project and Development Co-ordinators report on the progress and day-to-day activities of the project.
